The economy added 2.7 million jobs in 2015.


The Labor Department reported this morning that the economy created 292,000 jobs in December, capping a year of solid job growth. The unemployment rate held steady at 5.0 percent. The one caveat to the good news is that wage growth was sluggish—a fact that will likely play a prominent role this election year in discussions about income inequality.
