Kevin Garnett travels back in time, dunks all over Blake Griffin.

It’s been a few years since Garnett was really good and he hasn’t seemed quite himself since he was traded from the Celtics to the Nets in 2013 (with fellow old man Paul Pierce, for three unprotected first round picks, in what may be the worst trade of all time). Since being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves last year, KG has become what sounds like a terrible Le Carré novel: a player-mascot-mentor-coach. Garnett may be going on 40, but he can still turn it on: Last night on a fast break pass from Ricky Rubio, Garnett briefly inhabited his body from ten years ago and rocked the hell out of Blake Griffin. The Timberwolves, who are fun as hell, lost to the Clippers 110-106.
