That’s how the geniuses at Getty Images titled this strange picture from 1967, which I came across while scrolling through the site’s archival photos looking for something completely unrelated. (This activity is much more fun than it sounds, I promise.) It shows the famously skinny English model Twiggy chomping on an apple at the opening party for the Beatles’ short-lived Apple Boutique.
I’m left with a few questions: Did Twiggy finish that apple? Did she give it to that clown standing behind her? And why is there an entire category on Getty Images for “model eating” photos?
