Norway’s #DearDaddy viral video proves Scandinavia the best place in the world for women, again.

Following the Swedish government’s decision to issue every 16-year-old in the country a copy of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s We Should All be Feminists, the Norwegian nonprofit CARE has made a video asking fathers to be vigilant about sexism towards their daughters and “actively renounce violence.” The gender pay gap in Norway is among the smallest in the world at 8.1 percent, and mothers are granted 12 months paid parental leave, plus subsidized childcare.

The Norwegian video, titled #KjærePappa, has 100,242 views, while the English language version has over 2.9 million, and over 7 million worldwide. Set to a soundtrack of piano chords, it is narrated by a girl who gives her father examples of sexism, rape jokes, and sexual assault that will eventually lead to her murder by an abusive husband.
