Before the debate, it seemed possible there would be a big fight between the candidates over this micro-scandal. A Sanders aide compared the campaign’s “mistake” to Clinton’s “mistake” in supporting the Iraq war. But Sanders did not go after Clinton. He promised any other staffer who breached such data would be fired.
