A lot of bankers are going to be looking at Bernie Sanders’s mug this week.

Sanders will appear on Friday’s cover of Bloomberg Businessweek emblazoned with the declarative “Bernie Sanders Doesn’t Want Your Vote.”

The “your,” of course, doesn’t refer to the larger electorate, whose vote Sanders certainly does want, but the readers of Bloomberg Businessweek, a smaller if wealthier subset of the population. According to Politico, the story includes a characteristic Sanders rebuff of any of the magazine’s readers who work on Wall Street.

“‘I’m not going to reassure them,’ he says. ‘Their greed, their recklessness, their illegal behavior has destroyed the lives of millions of Americans. Frankly, if I were a hedge fund manager, I would not vote for Bernie Sanders. And I would contribute money to my opponents to try to defeat him.’”
