TV Line reports that Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Joey, Jeff, Ross, and Phoebe (and the real people who play them) will appear in a special honoring the television director James Burrows, who directed 15 episodes of the pre-diversity sitcom (and 1,000 in total, which is nuts).
Unfortunately, this might be an Arrested Development-style reunion and not a Girl Meets World-style reunion, or even a Curb Your Enthusiasm-style Seinfeld reunion. According to NBC Chairman Robert Greenblatt, all six cast members will appear but they might not appear together (say at Central Perk, which is now a vape shop/lounge called Battery Park): “I’m hoping all six will be in same room at same time, I’m not sure we can logistically can pull it off.”
