A video shows the deadly crane collapse in New York City.

The crane had been installed in the TriBeCa neighborhood of lower Manhattan a week ago. When it suddenly collapsed onto Worth Street, it flattened cars, damaged buildings, killed one person, and sent at least three other people to the hospital with serious injuries.

A person in a nearby building captured shocking video from above, as the crane fell to the street below.

Manhattan has seen several similar incidents in recent years. In 2008, two massive cranes collapsed in the span of a few weeks killing six people in all, and last year a 4-ton heating and air conditioning unit broke off from a crane in Midtown and injured ten pedestrians.
