Kanye West is here to help you correctly pronounce the word “zine.”

While teasing the (NSFW) second edition of his zine Season—which promises to be as nudity-filled as the first—’Ye gave a helpful lesson in pronunciation:

There are more questions than answers here. First, who pronounces it “zīne”? I’m sure it’s happened before, but it isn’t exactly an epidemic. Which leads to the second, more important question: Does this mean that Kanye West mispronounced “zine” until someone corrected him? Are the “lots of people” pronouncing it incorrectly code for Kanye himself, who used to pronounce it “zīne”? We may never know. But we do know that Kanye needs to call Leonardo DiCaprio, presumably to ask about the whole bear thing:
