In the end, it doesn’t even matter.

To kick off CNN’s Thursday night town hall in South Carolina, John Kasich endured a full 45 minutes of questions from undecided voters without saying anything new or interesting ... until the very end when he told Anderson Cooper he’s a fan of the terrible 90s rap metal band Linkin Park.

Except apparently even that was not new.

Chester from #LinkinPark gave my girls a call before their show. I get to be the cool dad tonight.

This presentation was frankly devastating to Kasich’s reputation as an unscripted politician and a man of more refined taste than GOP poll leaders. Expect his popularity among GOP primary voters to continue climbing.
