Leonardo DiCaprio finally got his Oscar.

After being nominated four other times, Leo won the 2016 Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Hugh Glass, a 19th century frontiersman and fur trapper, in The Revenant. DiCaprio had previously been nominated for work in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?, The Aviator, Blood Diamond, and The Wolf of Wall Street

DiCaprio’s frustration with not having won was the stuff of Hollywood legend—he received a standing ovation after his name was called. DiCaprio had clearly been ready to give this speech for a long time—he thanked people from throughout his decades-long Hollywood career and ended by calling out climate change.
