The trailer for the new season of Game of Thrones is here. Let the nitpicking begin!

HBO released the full trailer for season six of Game of Thrones, and the internet immediately began deconstructing every one of its 101 seconds looking for clues about what viewers can expect on April 24.

We see a very dead-looking Jon Snow, a very angry-looking Cersei Lannister, and a very distraught-looking Daenerys Targaryen, along with some characters we haven’t seen in a while (like Bran Stark, who missed all of last season, who can be spotted in the trailer chilling with the Night’s King).

This year’s trailer is inspiring particularly close scrutiny from fans because unlike seasons past, there is very little source material to reference. George R. R. Martin announced last year that he wouldn’t be able to finish the sixth installment of his series before the new season premiered, meaning many of the show’s plotlines have gone beyond the book’s. No longer will your well-read friends be able to lord over you their encyclopedic knowledge of Westeros.
