Trump began his section of CNN’s town hall debate by casting doubts on Michelle Fields’s claim that she had been manhandled by his campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, despite the fact that her account appears to largely match a video that was released today. Trump went so far as to make Anderson Cooper read a statement Fields had made about the incident aloud.
Trump’s entire defense was absurd. He claimed at one point that a pen Fields was carrying could have been a bomb, and that Fields possibly touching him was akin to his campaign manager violently grabbing her. But it inadvertently raised another question about Trump’s candidacy. Why does he print out statements in a giant font—like 24pt, at least—and in all caps? Also, is that the New Yorker font?
