When, ever, and where has a country that it is under relentless attack ever provided fuel and power and food to a territory ruled by parties and people who do this attacking from precisely that territory? The FT says this is "collective punishment" and "illegal." "Targeting a civilian population is prohibited by international law: there is no debate to be had about it."
Read on in this editorial and you will find that the FT, of all newspapers, is stoutly behind Hamas. Why doesn't it invite Hamas militants to settle in Britain? Or agitate for the government to invite these militants?
