Mccain Ducks Reform

Nonpartisan reform group puts the squeeze on McCain for backing away from his previous support for public financing of elections.

With voters seemingly carried away by talk of "fixing" Washington and abolishing special-interest money, it's curious that the subject of public financing hasn't drawn more attention in general. Yes, Obama and Clinton call for it--but not with the emphasis required to really change the system.
