Obama's latest epic $52 million June fundraising haul is prompting a huge sigh of relief from Democrats who were starting to wonder whether he was a little too quick to opt out of public financing. And indeed it is very good news for Obama. But as First Read reminds us, the relevant metric is really Obama + DNC vs. McCain + RNC, and in that calculus it's likely to be about even.
