Somewhat amusingly, MSNBC has turned to Trent Lott and John Breaux--who together embody the worst of Washington K Street cash-in culture--to defend Daschle's bona fides. To me that's really not helping.
Indeed, their very appearance itself is a kind of money-making opportunity for their delightfully bipartisan lobbying firm.
