Of course, I don't agree with his taking the rap for the hostility between Islam and America and pinning it only on the U.S. Charles Krauthammer had a very sharp article in the Post a few weeks ago taking the president to task for his first interview with any press source--that being Al-Arabiya--and giving the Arabs a complete pass.
These two items from MEMRI do not deal with high politics. But how intimate can the West be with the Arab and the Muslim states when backward views like this dominate their culture and social life?
