Forward with Britain into the next step. (Or, British comedy that almost, but not quite explains the Brexit.)

If the Brexit represents the worst of Britain, then British comedy (often) represents the best of making fun of the worst of Britain, particularly its nationalism. Here are three lessons from British comedy that the British people could have heeded, but didn’t.

1. You can’t trust people. (Peep Show)

2. Tories are full of nonsense. (A Bit of Fry and Laurie)

(Bonus lesson: English people are way too nostalgic.)

3. Nigel Farage is Alan Partridge. (I’m Alan Partridge)
