Anthony Jean

Anthony Jean is a French photojournalist who covers northern Africa, the Middle East, and the migrant crisis in Europe. In 2010 he and his colleague Lise Tregloze covertly infiltrated the Gdeim Izik encampment in Western Sahara, and photographed the largest peaceful demonstration in the history of the Sahrawi people since the Moroccan occupation. They were the only foreigners to witness the protest, now considered by human rights observers to be the true starting point of the Arab Spring.
