Ellen Ioanes is a New York- and Beirut-based journalist. She previously covered foreign affairs, politics, and labor for Vox, as well as the military and defense industry for Business Insider, and politics and internet culture for the Daily Dot. Her work appears in Foreign Policy, the Guardian, the Center for Public Integrity, and more. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and Davidson College.
