Paul Elie’s third book, The Last Supper, published in 2025, will be out from Picador in May. His two previous books, The Life You Save May Be Your Own (2003) and Reinventing Bach (2012), were National Book Critics Circle Award finalists. He worked 15 years as a senior editor with Farrar, Straus and Giroux, and is now a senior fellow at Georgetown’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs.
