Despite what Republican critics would have you believe, the president’s candidates to replace Breyer are eminently qualified.

They just can’t help themselves.

The GOP can slow down the confirmation process for Stephen Breyer’s replacement, but the Democrats almost certainly have the votes to confirm her.

And it should probably be Ketanji Brown Jackson, who is far more qualified than Clarence Thomas was when he was nominated. It’s time to fight.
